Resistance to Civil Government Paper Topics

Resistance to Civil Government Paper TopicsWhat are some resistance to civil government paper topics? After all, it seems to me that such topics could have a truly progressive impact on the way civil governments work. One of the issues with resistance to civil government paper topics is the amount of regulations that we impose upon people who work in government and public service. Regulations are always going to be around. We will find them everywhere. But I wonder if these regulations are serving our greater good, or if they are merely the byproduct of bureaucratic politics. For example, there are regulations in the federal workplace regarding safety and the environment. Yet another regulation on that list is the requirement that employees wear protective gear when working in a hazardous environment. The notion here is that the environment is somehow less safe if someone isn't wearing a helmet and face mask. That makes sense. So the environment is at risk, and that is why we require p eople to wear special equipment in an environment that might be more dangerous. But if we were really interested in safety, or in an environment that was safer for everyone, then we would not be imposing regulations on the very people who are required to enforce those regulations. Regulations are not the most effective method of reducing risk in the workplace.Another example of the old ways of doing things is the requirement that supervisors wear their uniforms properly when they work in front of subordinates. A rule like this was created because supervisors, who are likely in charge of a workplace full of people, didn't want to be seen as being unprofessional. So they created a rule that would keep their own office in order. But now, when it comes to rules about being dressed properly, bosses still feel the need to impose a new dress code on their subordinates. They feel that, after being in a job that required them to dress up for a long time, they can afford to be picky. If we were really interested in making workplaces safer, we would make bosses take their concerns about attire to the foot of the ladder.Another example of resistance to civil government paper topics is the requirement that employers maintain employee rosters. Again, it was clearly designed to reduce costs. But now, it has become another regulation that we impose on our employees. In conclusion, it is clear that we should be moving away from regulations, and towards a new system for paper topics. Regulations should be eliminated.
